The Press's enthusiasm for innovation is reflected in our continuing exploration of this frontier. We were among the first university presses to offer titles electronically and we continue to adopt technologies that allow us to better support the scholarly mission and disseminate our content widely. I've tried to restart several times making something that isn't a mage PC, and nothing satisfies.Among the largest university presses in the world, The MIT Press publishes over 200 new books each year along with 30 journals in the arts and humanities, economics, international affairs, history, political science, science and technology along with other disciplines. There's not enough unique mechanics to differentiate the characters, in my opinion. I even kind of like classless systems when done well, but I don't think it was done well here. The magic system is great, but I really miss the additional class mechanics of PoE. I turn off AI and give every command.īut still I find the combat unsatisfying. I kind of agree, but for different reasons. I can't recall a game that required so much damned micromanagement for real time combat. Seems to me the only way to actually fix their combat system would be a Dragon Age Origins style AI system with a shitload of modifiable if-then conditions, or just making the whole thing turn based. After about half an hour of play I threw difficulty on story mode and never looked back. One major criticism is the combat, which is pure ass. The 25 hour completion time is brilliant and should be a new industry standard for games pushing replayability. Did some research about the other endings now I'm firing up a new character for a different path. Overall writing was satisfying and I liked my ending slides. Chapters 4 and 5 did allow you to murder anyone you wanted though.įinally finished the game. You were also largely prevented from destroying the leadership in Amn, and the game had specifically designed to keep the big bad villain off-screen so you couldn't attack them until the end of the game. railroading in BG2, I will note that you were prevented from killing either of the "faction" leaders in Chapters 2 and 3. (And after a while, you just have a ton of artifacts and such.) There's a 2H axe type that just does way more DPS than other 2h weapon types. But there's honestly not that much shit to buy anyways there's relatively little magic gear in the game, and for some reason, some equipment types are much superior to others. #Tyranny vellum citadel upgrade#I also spent a lot of money on crafting materials from Revas (?), because I wanted to upgrade my equipment. In my second playthrough, I knew which sigils I'd want, so I avoided spending a lot of money on some of them. I was broke for a while in my first play through because I was buying all the Sigils, Expressions and Accents I could find. For those of you who are having trouble with money: what are you spending it on? Upgrade materials were the bottleneck for me.
